Olympus - Run- ning with the Gods” - 5K Event on July 19, 2020 at UCSD. is event will incor- porate the 5K, a 1- mile walk and “Virtual” run as well - so everyone can participate! March 8, 2020: Lecture given by Denise Demetriou , Gerry and Jeannie Ranglas Chair in Ancient Greek History & Associate Professor Director of the Center for Hellenic Studies, Department of History University of California. 2:00 pm at Saints Constan- tine and Helen. She will discuss the an- cient Olympics. May 30, 2020: Yassas Bunko! Back by pop- ular demand! Hosted by Paul and Alexia Anas at their home. Papastathis 2019 was a tremendous year for our local AHEPA chapter! • We raised over $1000 for St. Innocent Or- phanage at our 1st Annual Tavli Tourna- ment • We cooked over 250 burgers and hotdogs in the rain for the parish on our 2nd An- nual AHEPA Day BBQ • We raised over $4,700 for our beloved Greek School at our 2nd Annual Oxi Day Glendi • We awarded 4 scholarships to deserving young members of our Greek Orthodox community • We held our 1st Annual Toys for Tots Drive, collected over 200 toys for local children in need, and had great fun in the process!
