Ours was full of events for the St. Spyridon Greek Dance and Choral School. The beginning of the month started with our annual December Nights Parking lot fundraiser. This year we didn’t see quite the turnout we’ve had in years past (thanks to a free bus and shuttle program offered by the city) but we were still able to realize a profit and had fun handing out free hot cocoa to carloads of happy people. On December 11th we celebrated our Church’s Name Day by dancing for His Em- inence Metropolitan Gerasimos. There was a beautiful vespers service before, and we were honored to perform for His Eminence for the first time! On the 16th we performed at the annual Philoptochos Angels Christmas Party, which ended with a brief Greek dance lesson. The Lambros family hosted our annual Christmas party which gave us a rare opportunity to socialize and reflect on all God’s blessings. FDF is less than a month away for our group, Pelagos, and with the end of the holidays we are now drilling down on our practices and preparations. We were excited to order our costumes for our brand new Kefalonian set and are happy that our group has nearly doubled in size since last year! Save the date for our FDF Preview on February 2nd when we will host fel- lowship and have all our dance groups perform. We hope you all had a safe and memorable Christmas and may God bless you all and bring us all another wonderful year!
