So, here we are in March already. Please say it isn’t so. We will begin preparing for our Lenten journey once again. As we pray let’s go on a journey, one that hopefully brings us closer to Christ and makes room in our hearts for Paschal joy. We want to congratulate all our dancers and singers representing St. Spyridon at last month’s Greek Folk Dance and Choral Festival in Ana- heim. The children represented their parish well. We are so proud of ev- ery one of them. Your Youth Choir brought home the gold in their divi- sion. Way to go kids! Και του χρόνου! Proud grandparents are Adam & Bonnie Curtis and Bill & Stephanie Mourafetis. BIRTHS Our Seniors’ Ministry welcomed five new members at the Valentine’s gathering last month. All members were treated to a delicious lunch prepared and sponsored by Philop- tochos. Following lunch, San Diego County Deputy District Attorneys Dino Paraskevopoulos, Valerie Sum- mers and Brian Erickson discussed their extensive experience as prose- cutors in the criminal justice system. They spoke about some of their past cases and the increase in solving cold cases. They also reminded our group that seniors are continually target- ed by scammers and gave us tips to avoid becoming a victim. This month’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 12, at 11am with the Pan Arcadians sponsoring lunch.
