By the time you receive this newslet- ter, Mrs. Navrides will be headed to UCSD for her Stem Cell Transplant as she continues to fight Leuke- mia. Please keep our family in your prayers during this crucial time and pray for the physicians and nurses that will care for her during her one month stay. We also ask God to Bless us all during this crazy time in the world. We pray daily for the health and well-being of all our GOYA families and parishio- ners and of course the entire world as we fight this horrible Coronavirus. We know that God is a good God who loves mankind and ultimately He is in charge. Of course, by now you all know that our annual GOYA Palm Sunday lun- cheon scheduled for Sunday, April 12th is cancelled for this year. Our GOYA families were looking forward to serving you our Parish communi- ty as we do every year around this time and are sad this can’t take place this month. We are HOPING to be able to go Kayaking on Saturday, May 9th in Coronado in the morning as origi- nally planned. We will make a final decision about this function on April 9th and will communicate to our GOYA families via email, text, Insta- gram and Facebook. Please save Saturday, June 6th for the end of the year Pool Party and elections at the home of Maggie and Ellia Samouris (9442 Pagoda Tree Lane, San Diego, 92127). Remem- ber we will elect officers at the June 6th meeting for 2020-2021 so if you want to run you must attend the end of the year party. Remember, families with 8-18 year olds, please consider sending your kids to St. Nicholas Ranch for sum- mer camp this year and take advan- tage of the SoCal Bus. The new of- ficers for this year are President Fred Georggin , Vice Pres- ident Adrienne Robas Bell , Recording Secretary Anastasia Kokkinis , Corresponding Secretary Connie Mastorakos Ralph , and Treasurer Sam Tzathas . Our next meeting will be held ursday May 28 at 7:00PM in the education building. Subjects to be covered will be schol- arships, and the District Convention hosted by the Oakland chapter May 1-3. As usual, we will begin with a potluck din- ner. So bring your favorite dish or beverage to share and join us for an evening of fellowship and philanthropy. Therefore, my dear brethren, it is not necessary to make heroic con- fessions against the Government for the prophylactic measures that it takes for the good of all people. Neither should we despair, but only wisely machinate ways so as not to lose our living communication with the Person of Christ. Nothing can harm us, we must simply be patient for a certain period of time and God will see our patience, take away ev- ery obstacle, every temptation and we shall again see the dawn of joy- ful days, and we shall celebrate our common hope and love that we have in Christ Jesus. + Fr.
