Please send an email to greekbake@anthousa.org WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT! Philoptochos Anthousa Chapter’s Our Senior Adult Ministry has a new name and a new leader! We chose the name Young at Heart because they are an active and en- thusiastic group, and their outlook on life remains youthful! We welcome our new di- rector, Nicholas Pappas , who with his wife Connie, Libby Diamond, and Linda Farrell will present the monthly luncheons and ac- tivities. We hope to schedule an occasional field trip too! On behalf of all members past and present, our heartfelt appreciation and best wishes to Sophia Mellos for her many years leading our group! We also thank George Statho- poulos (Stanley) and Bill Demos , who as- sisted Sophia over the years. Thank you all! MARCH REVIEW: We’re grateful to the Pan Arcadians for sponsoring the delicious lunch from Olympic Café. Special thanks to Arca- dians Angie Georggin and Pam Limneos , for their informative discussion about their ministry. Thank you to our invited speak- er Fr. Andrew , who discussed the holy life and many deeds of St. Patrick, a venerated Pre-Schism Orthodox Saint. Thank you also to our resident Canadian snowbird Eleni Petropoulos , who led us through an af- ter-lunch gentle stretching exercise session. APRIL MEETING: Did you know Balboa Park’s Timken Museum has a permanent collection of Russian Orthodox Icons? Tim- ken Docent Dr. Florence Gillman, PhD, in Theology and Religious Studies, will give a power point presentation highlighting some of the museum’s extensive icon collection with a Q&A to follow. A Lenten lunch will be served. In order to prepare the lunch, we kindly ask you to RSVP with Cynthia Samar- kos at 619-582-4109, by 5pm Friday, April 5th . We’re happy to report Young at Heart wel- comed 14 new members since February bringing our total to 63! If you’re interested in joining us, we meet at 11 am in the church hall on the second Tuesday of the month. YOUNG AT HEART SENIOR CARE Need someone to take care of your elderly?
