3 THE SHEPHERD • APRIL 2025 • SAINT SPYRIDON GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH OF SAN DIEGO WHY PLEDGE? Saint Spyridon parish is a special place of worship, fellowship, and Christ-centered service and as such, we thank every one of you for your faithful support of our parish. The Stewardship Committee genuinely understands that each of us gives in their own way and in their own time, and we acknowledge that there are many approaches and attitudes re- lated to the act of stewardship. The annual pledge card is one of the ways that many of our parishioners share their intention and commitment to support the church financially. Some offer their support in other ways, but the pledge card provides useful benefits that you may not be aware of. Your pledge card assists our church leadership in planning for the financial needs of our parish in the coming year and it helps us to stay better connected to our families in the many ways that we commu- nicate throughout the year. We rec- ognize that our lives are very busy and sometimes hectic, so if you have not done so already, please prayer- fully consider offering your pledge card today. We humbly thank all the many hands and hearts that fuel the vibrance of our community through your steadfast and selfless offering of Time, Talent, and Treasure. Glory to God for all things. The Stewardship Committee: Ben De La Riva, Jim Gilpin, Bill Navrides, Timmy Paraskevo- poulos, Haralambos Terpo, Stephen Thiros, Nektarios Tradas, and Spero Tzathas Greetings Friends of the Choir! He was a long-time parishioner of St. Spyridon Church, attending Sunday liturgy “a little late” as he would say, to make his way to Fellowship where he loved to socialize with friends and find someone to join him for lunch. We are grateful for the time we were able to share with him. May his memory be eternal. With love and respect, The Gilpin Family
