It was a di erent Holy Week for sure but the Live Stream- ing did make it feel like we were with Christ and His Holy Church. We missed our Church community during Great and Holy Lent, Palm Sunday Luncheon and Holy Week. We pray every night we will be able to worship together as a Church community at our beloved Saint Spyridon VERY SOON. I am happy to report our GOYA board did not let the virus stop them from getting together. On April 10th your GOYA board put together a ZOOM call with over 20 GOYAns in attendance. It was so nice to see your wonderful faces, long hair and in some cases beards. What we saw from each of you was a beautiful smile which we have truly missed. ank you to the GOYA board for putting this together and for the games and fellowship. GOYAns be on the lookout for another ZOOM call soon. We know these days are trying with “Distance Learning and Quarantine” but this too shall pass. We are sorry we must cancel our May 9th Kayaking adventure in Coronado as it was going to be a fun outing. Our June 6th end of the year pool party at the Samouris home has been postponed to later summer. We are as anxious as you all are to get together with our GOYA families as soon as it is safe to do so. As graduations are upon us this month and next we must recognize our amazing Seniors who will be moving on from GOYA and into the next phase of their lives. Congratu- lations and best wishes to Anthony Dick, Dimitri Gilpin, William Gil- pin and George Gonis . We have been blessed to get to know these young men very well over the years and have enjoyed watching them grow as Orthodox Christians in GOYA and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
