Can you believe summer is just around the corner? On April 17th GOYA had the honor and privilege to serve the parish for our annual Palm Sunday luncheon. On May 14th St. Paul’s Greek Or- thodox Church in Irvine is hosting a BeeTreat beginning at 9:30 am and ending at 5 pm. is is for 6th-12th graders AND parents. ere is a young adult session in the evening. ere is NO CHARGE for this event. We did this at St. Spyridon in March 2019 and if you didn’t get a chance to go, I highly recommend you make the short drive to Irvine. For our GOYAMay activity, we invite you to spend the a ernoon in Coro- nado on Saturday, May 21st . We will meet at the home of Andreana Fran- gos (432 Glorietta Blvd., Coronado, 92118) at NOON for lunch. A er lunch, as a group we’ll walk to the Bay for time on the water and fun in the sand. GOYA is renting stand up paddleboards and we will spend the a ernoon at Tidelands Park. If you have your own paddleboards, kayaks and beach games please bring them on May 21st. Parents you can pick your kids up at Coronado Tidelands Park (2000 Mullinex Drive, Corona- do, 92118) at 3:30 pm. Please let us know if you will be attending by May 15th as there is a cost for the rentals which the Church will be covering. Please remember the end of the year GOYA party and elections are just around the corner on Saturday, June 4th at Zoe and Luka Maude’s home (9326 Laurentian Drive, San Diego, 92129). If you want to run for the GOYA board next year you MUST attend the June 4th party. Meet at the Maude’s at 5:00 pm and we will enjoy dinner and fellowship together. As graduations are upon us this month and next, we must recognize our amazing Seniors who will be moving on from GOYA and into the next phase of their lives. Congratu- lations and best wishes to Stella Ca- petanakis, George Dougenis, Eleni Huntalas, Kosta Kalamaras, Dean Lahanas, Maggie Samouris, and Lu- kas Spencer . I have been blessed to watch these young men and women grow as Orthodox Christians during their years in GOYA and wish them all the best in their college years.
