We will be sending $500 to the Orthodox Christian Missions Center to help support their missionaries who serve all over the world. Our Great and Holy Week Retreats were amazing! The High School Great and Holy Monday Retreat had 15 high schoolers who had a discussion about the Hands of our Lord Jesus Christ and how they could use their hands to the benefit of the kingdom of God that surrounds us each day. The high school- ers then created sculptures of their very own hands. Our Middle Schoolers met on Great and Holy Tuesday for their retreat and par- ticipated in a scavenger hunt in which they learned about the Holy Mysteries. One neat aspect of the retreats was that five of the par- ticipants had the opportunity to read the Six Psalms at the Bridegroom Services. **Class of 2025!** Calling all Seniors! Please email youthministries@stspyridon.org as soon as possible! We would like to acknowl- edge all of our graduating seniors at our Sun- day School Promotion on May 18th. We will also recognize all 10 of our Sunday School Teachers and their classes. Ice Cream party fellowship to follow! GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth Association) This year, with a huge thanks to Bill Navrides and the GOYA families, the Palm Sunday Luncheon raised over $6,000 for our mid- dle and high school youth group – GOYA! We hope you enjoyed the delicious lunch that was served by 30+ GOYA members and thank you so very much for supporting GOYA! The funds will be used to establish a scholarship for St. Spyridon high school seniors in the 2025/2026 school year. The funds will also support monthly events and big annual trips such as whitewater rafting, skiing, and camping. In other updates, May’s GOYA event is a beach bonfire on May 17th! At the time that I am writing this, the Youth Room Remod- el Project is close to completion and may be finished by the time you receive this newslet- ter! Be sure to stop in and check it out! Meráki Young Orthodox Service Group In April, the Meraki Youth Group, along with the community folded 300 Palm Cross- es for Palm Sunday! We will meet next on May 10th from 9:30-11:00.
