8 THE SHEPHERD • MAY 2025 • SAINT SPYRIDON GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH OF SAN DIEGO Christos Anesti! We are deeply grateful to our St. Spyridon community for your unwavering support of our Anthousa Chapter’s efforts, especial- ly during the Lenten season. Our heartfelt thanks go to our devoted volunteers, under the direction of Niki Dougenis and Vicky Mellos, who lovingly baked 2,000 Kouloura- kia Cookies and over 200 loaves of Tsoureki Bread for our Annual Pascha Bake Sale and Homebound Baskets. Your continuous sup- port enables our Anthousa chapter to sustain our ministries and assist those in need. Recently, Bill host- ed 20 students for GOYA’s lively Palm Sun- day luncheon and welcomed 9 students at our joyful Pascha picnic. This ministry is all about keeping students connected to their faith and home church, even when they’re away at college. Do you have a college-aged student in your family? Our Anthousa chap- ter ensures they stay rooted in their spiritual community. Share their contact information with Bill Navrides at Bill.Navrides@sharp. com, and let us help them feel at home, no matter where they are. JOIN OUR ANTHOUSA PHILOPTO- CHOS CHAPTER: We welcome all – ladies and gentlemen – to help us make a differ- ence. If you cannot actively participate, your membership pledge supports many chari- table endeavors within our parish and be- yond. To join, visit www.Anthousa.net and click donate.
