7 THE SHEPHERD • JUNE 2026 • SAINT SPYRIDON GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH OF SAN DIEGO Our festival is just around the corner and we are excited to perform! Be sure not to miss us: We are also proud to announce the graduation of Xaris Moskos, Kalista Searles, James Burrell and George Burrell from High School. We wish them – and all this year’s graduates – great success in their future endeavors. Remember, grads, if you are staying local, the adult dance group is open to any 18+ high school grads/college/adults. It’s a great way to keep connected and have fun. The festival is the official end of our dance and choral school year. We are already planning for the fall with classes starting on 8/16 and a brand-new fundraising event, Souvlaki and Cinema on 8/21. We will show a classic Greek comedy mov- ie (with subtitles) and offer souvlakia and other treats. This will be a great way to bond across generations and have a good laugh. More information and details will be coming soon. Remember you can reach us at stspyridongreekdance@ gmail.com Have a wonderful summer! STEWARDSHIP AND SUMMER The Stewardship Committee extends its heartfelt thanks to all our faithful fam- ilies and parishioners. Your generous offerings of time, talent, and treasure are truly foundational to the health and heartbeat of our parish. As the summer months approach, a time filled with celebrations, graduations, and well-deserved relaxation, we encourage you to remember that the mission and ministry of our parish continue year-round. Your regular monthly stew- ardship gifts make it possible to sustain the essential services and activities we offer our parishioners, throughout the entire year. This month, we humbly ask you and your family to consider volunteering your time and talent at our annual St. Spyridon Greek Festival on June 13 and 14. This event supports the financial future of our church, but it also offers unlim- ited opportunities for each of us to share our Orthodox Faith, Greek culture, and hospitality with those who live in our neighboring community. We pray that the coming months are filled with safe travels and joyful mo- ments, and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday mornings in worship and fellowship.
