From the moment we opened our doors, the excitement, the energy, and the crowds screamed only one thing, “We are back!” As buses delivered load a er load of people hungry for our food, drink, culture, and hospi- tality, we quickly recognized that our two-year break wasn’t going to slow us down as much as we might have thought. In fact, it wasn’t long before our biggest worry was that we would run out of food on the rst day. But with all that was happening, the most important aspect of this special weekend was that we were all togeth- er again as a community. So many of you reached out to the steering committee and shared that you were there for anything we needed, and that spirit lit the way for all the plan- ning and preparation that followed. It is also important to share that several booth chairs and volunteers took on new roles and responsibili- ties this year and we are grateful for their courage and generosity in step- ping up. Our unity of purpose, com- munity, and faith were on display for all to see, once again, and so many visitors shared that they missed us and were delighted that we brought our festival back. We are also proud to share that both Saturday and Sunday set signi cant- ly new sales records for our festival which was a tremendous blessing. e Festival Steering Committee would like to thank everyone that shared their time, talent, and trea- sure to support the return of our very special event. Every one of you made this weekend possible and we hope that you will join us at the Volunteer Appreciation event coming soon. e Festival Steering Committee: Art Balourdas, Francesca Captain, Ben De La Riva, Marian Dougenis, Stella Pappas, Christoforos Savvides, Maria Terris, Nektarios Tradas, Spero Tzathas 2 WOMEN OF THE WORD She also reminded us of how Christ talks about the power faith in Scripture ( Matthew 17:14-21; Mark 9:14-29; Luke 9:37-42 ) “‘even as small as a grain of mustard seed’ – it’s only a little bit that you need to reconnect with Christ, reenter communion with Him and to climb back up into the sunshine where our hearts can broaden more to receive the Spirit.” With Love in Christ, + e Women of the Word Bible Study Group
