Our Chapter elections were held on May 21st and our 2023-2025 Board was sworn in on June 4th. I would like to thank Julie Karagianides, Vicky Mellos, Harriett Kounaves, Jenny Capetanakis, Christina Ma- rantos, and Irene Veca for their de- votion and many years of service as Board Members. They have led by example and supported our chapter in many special ways – in both high- ly visible roles as well as quietly and behind the scenes. Thanks to each and every one of you for volunteering to carry on the im- portant works of Philoptochos and our precious traditions. Many of our members attended the Metropolis’ Kids ‘n’ Cancer event in Newport Beach. The mission of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Philoptochos Kids ‘n’ Cancer / Camp Agape Ministry is to provide support for children afflict- ed with cancer and their families. This beloved ministry offers a com- passionate and caring environment, exemplary of Christ’s unconditional love, along with an opportunity to shape meaningful friendships and create precious memories. Our chap- ter was able to donate $5000 through your support of our Kids ‘n’ Cancer fundraising efforts! THANK YOU!
