Andrew for your beautiful article in the Monthly Newsletter and your beautiful words about me on Sunday. ank you for presenting me with the beautiful icon of Saint Spyridon. We will hang it in our home on Paros and will think of all of you. ank you Jim Gilpin and all the Parish Council Board members for your support and for the gi of love. ank you also to Marian Dougenis and all the Philoptochos Ladies for your generous monetary gi . I’m going to miss working at the church o ce and all of you, but it’s time to start a new chapter in my life. I would like to thank God for keeping me healthy way over my retirement years. I would also like to thank Spero for being there and helping me since I rst started working without any Ameri- can experience. It was not an easy ride but I managed to learn and to like my job. I was happy to come to work every day and enjoyed working through the challenges I faced. I learned a lot over the years from all of you wonderful volunteers and I thank you. I’m happy to leave the o ce in the very good hands of Tina as I trained her well and she is ready to take over. We plan to be in Greece until the end of October and I look forward to seeing you when we come back. Be safe and stay healthy and pray that this virus will be over soon. I would like to take this opportunity to publically thank our Return Commit- tee for a job well done during the four weeks we are permitted to hold “in-per- son” services. ey took the time and made the dedicated e ort to assist our faithful and escorting them in and out of our Sanctuary. Much debate, time, e ort, re ection, prayer and concern went into deciding what we all felt best with regard to our protocol for a safe, secure and rewarding experience before, during and a er the divine services of the Church. us, a big thank you goes out to our Return Committee: Art and Gina Ba- lourdas, Greg Balourdas, Rhad Brown, Ben De La Riva, Jim Gilpin, Jim and Stella Pappas, Stephen iros and Spero Tzathas.
