We are certainly a jewel of the Metropo- lis, and the compliments keep pour- ing in! We showcased our beautiful Saint Spyridon by providing a phe- nomenal fellowship reception fol- lowing the meaningful and impact- ful Hierarchical Divine Services on Sunday, June 30th. This was made possible through the amazing vision and leadership of our chairpersons, Gina Balour- das, Christine Tradas, and Julie Karagianides. Numerous attendees, priests, Philoptochos members, and families, commented that they had never experienced such hospitality and such a beautiful fellowship offer- ing. Thank you, ladies, for an excep- tional job! Your talents and dedica- tion are appreciated more than you know. Another huge ‘Thank You’ to the many volunteers who came together to help bake, set up and serve hun- dreds our guests for this historic event. You helped put our treasured Saint Spyridon on the map! The 2024 Philoptochos Conven- tion was a remarkable week filled with inspiration, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments. We engaged in pivotal discussions and resolu- tions on Philoptochos outreach, global issues, youth matters, fiscal responsibility for all chapters, social services and community challenges, wellness… the list goes on! We extend our deepest gratitude to our delegates, observers, and vol- unteers for being an integral part of this extraordinary Convention. Your participation, enthusiasm, and dedication drove the event’s success, creating an atmosphere of unity and purpose, shaping the future through love, compassion, and service. I feel blessed to be of service and a mem- ber of our beloved St. Spyridon com- munity.
