3 THE SHEPHERD • AUGUST 2025 • SAINT SPYRIDON GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH OF SAN DIEGO “COME SHARE YOUR UNIQUE GIFTS!” “Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teach- es.” (Galatians 6:6) How many times have we heard the plea to give our time, our talents and our treasures? The plea now is to hear it differently. Hear it like Adam heard God’s reply when he called out to God “Where are You?” If we listen closely, we too can hear His words echoing back to us — “Where are You! Where are You! Where are You!” His words present a question only each of us can answer for ourselves. We can think of the gifts He has given; we can remind ourselves that He came to serve; and we can remind ourselves that our walk is to be more Christ like looking to serve not be served. This month, the Stewardship Com- mittee is hoping each of us will take time to reflect on our unique gifts and make a personal commitment to share those gifts. The Parish will be hosting a ministry fair on September 7th giving each of us an opportunity to learn about our ministries and all of the opportunities we have to serve.
