It was great to see everyone at the Padres baseball game “Greek style” on August 8th, and even better that we won! ank you to all our Church families who supported GOYA’s co ee hour e orts on Sunday, August 15th. A big thank you to the following families for their co ee hour donations - Couris, Maude, Terris, Samouris, Frangos, Dougenis, Navrides, Dennis, Savvides, Capetanakis, Aliano and to Olympic Café restaurant for their food donation. What a privilege it was for GOYA to host our parish in honor of the Holy eotokos. We would like to inform everyone about our upcoming September event, which will be “A GOYA FAMILY movie night under the stars” on Saturday, September 25th at 6:00 pm starting o with our elections for the upcoming board at 6:15 pm. As a reminder, o cers for GOYA are: President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. If you are interested in learn- ing more about the roles of each of these positions please contact Mr. Navrides or George Dougenis. We will begin the movie around 6:45 pm and we will be watching Luca , a Disney movie suitable for all ages. GOYAns, bring ALL your family members and don’t for- get to bring your chairs and blankets as we will be watching the movie in our St. Spyr- idon church parking lot. Please RSVP to Mr. Navrides by September 19th so we can properly prepare. GOYA will provide dinner, snacks and ALL the movie theater treats for you and your family. Looking ahead, mark your calendar for our next event on Saturday, October 16th in the evening. Your NEW GOYA board will meet in late September (probably AFTER Church on Sunday, September 26th) to plan the rest of the year’s activities including the one on October 16. Parents, as we have done in the past, we would like your help in executing our events. Since Mr. Navrides is now doing GOYA solo, your help is needed and greatly appreciated. Fall semester begins the week of September 6th and runs through January 28, 2022. Reg- istration for new and past students is tak- ing place now. You can nd the Fall School Calendar, easy to ll out registration forms, and pay tuition at our school’s website http://www.stspyridongreekschool.org Student registration and tuition must be sub- mitted prior to the start of the rst semester. Tuition may be paid online or by check made payable to St. Spyridon Church and mailed to the church o ce. It is very important that registration forms are completed ahead of time, so that class assignments are nalized, and students are ready to begin during the week of September 6.
