Once again we have received some good news - San Diego County will remain on the California State’s “Red Tier” and thus our Sanctuary will remain open. e state of Cal- ifornia and the county of San Diego author- ities (Gavin Newsom and Wilma Wooten - SD Public Health O cer) have continued to give “Places of Worship” the permission to remain open for the foreseeable future so long as “the metrics” they use remain low. Let us be reminded however, that the coro- navirus is still among us. us, as we try to co-exist with the virus please know that per- sons with any signs or symptoms of any acute illness (whether it is COVID or not), who have come into contact with COVID-posi- tive persons within the last 14 days, or who have traveled outside of the United States within the last two weeks will not be allowed to attend the divine services. ose faithful who are most vulnerable (those above age 60 or those with chronic health conditions) are encouraged to con- tinue participating via our parish LiveS- tream but can attend the in-person services if they elect to do so. Before attending ser- vices, you will be asked to 1) a rm that you are not currently ill or experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms; 2) that you agree to abide by the social distancing and safety guidelines as being practiced in our Parish; and, 3) and, that you acknowledge, that while the recommended CDC, State and Local County safety measures are being taken by the Church, we cannot guarantee that there is no risk of infection for those attending. If you are not able to agree with these condi- tions, we ask that you remain at home and continue to participate via our parish LiveS- tream. Remember, these are not permanent changes to our church practices, but tempo- rary measures of safety and mutual respect which will be in place until further notice. Please know that if you make an online res- ervation you will be guaranteed an assigned seat in the Sanctuary. If you do not make an online reservation you may/will be seated in the hall (as over ow). FYI - the hall has been equipped with a new large-screen video projector and we will LiveStream the divine services onto that giant screen in the hall for you. If you would like to make your online reser- vation just go to our website and click on the tab conveniently located on the front page - www.stspyridon.org - it is quick and easy to do. Reservation or not - for the health and safety of us all, we are all still required to wear a face-covering/mask, practice physical dis- tancing of six feet, and continue to wash/dis- infect our hands. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we try to co-exist alongside the coronavirus. My Brothers and Sisters in Christ, It has been a while since our last “shut down” by the state of California and the county of San Diego. Needless, to say, I for one am looking very much forward to our continued return and having you all back in the Sanctu- ary joining me once again for in-person wor- ship and prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. God’s continued blessing, +A
