9 THE SHEPHERD • OCTOBER 2025 • SAINT SPYRIDON GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH OF SAN DIEGO Thank you to all who visited our Philopto- chos table at the Parish Ministry Fair. We were extremely happy to share the ministries and activities of your Anthousa Chapter with you, answering questions and communicat- ing to you what Philoptochos is all about! August’s Faith, Family & Fellowship was a huge success. The next Faith, Family & Fel- lowship is scheduled for Sunday, November 2nd. We encourage everyone to bring an item to share with fellow parishioners after the Divine Liturgy so that we can continue to enjoy and strengthen our fellowship to- gether. You can simply drop off your item in the kitchen on Sunday morning. Please mark your calendar for the upcoming FFF dates- November 2nd, December 7th & January 4th. As some of you are aware, Philoptochos passed a special tray after the Divine Lit- urgy on Sunday September 14th, in which all monies donated will go directly to fund scholarships for our seminarians and stu- dents at Hellenic College Holy Cross. By virtue of your extreme generosity, your do- nations amounted to almost $700 towards this very worthy cause. Thank you for your kindness and helping Philoptochos carry out this important ministry. We are all Philopto- chos, thank you! SUSAN G. KOMEN BREAST CANCER WALK: We can each play a part in helping Susan G. Komen® in its ONE mission to end breast cancer forever. We’re stronger togeth- er.
