Thank you to Gina Balourdas for having this wonderful idea and bringing it to fruition. Special thanks are also extended to all com- munity members who contributed items to share during Fellowship. Your efforts were truly appreciated and demonstrated the power of collaboration. Our next Faith, Family & Fellowship event is scheduled for October 5th . We encourage everyone to bring an item to share with fel- low parishioners after the Divine Liturgy so that we can continue to enjoy and strengthen our fellowship together. The Anthousa Executive Board convened last month to set our Calendar of Events for the upcoming year and address topics vital to the chapter. As the new Chapter President, I am deeply grateful for the wealth of ideas and thoughtful discussions contributed by the Executive Board. Your input is invalu- able, and I extend a heartfelt thank you to each of you for your dedication. We are excited for a year filled with wonder- ful events! Please visit our table at the Parish Ministry Fair on September 7th , where you can stop by, say hello, and discover what we have planned for the year ahead. • Susan G. In Christ’s Sisterhood, Michelle Defelippi Anthousa Chapter President Welcome back from summer vacation or from just relaxing in America’s Finest City! We have many exciting and enjoyable events planned for the remainder of the year and hope you’ll be able to attend. Meanwhile, our grateful appreciation to member Camelia Clum for hosting a lovely backyard poolside picnic in late July. Came- lia was a gracious hostess and we’re glad that many members were able to attend. We return to our monthly gatherings with a catered luncheon program on Tuesday, September 9th . Lucy Simitzes will lead us in some chair exercises. Stan Canaris, from Bal- boa Park’s Starlight Bowl, will discuss its long and storied history and give future plans to reopen. We’ll also be providing the details for our exciting day trip to the Getty Villa in November.
