THRIVING THROUGH PARISH MINISTRIES Our ministries play a vital role in the spiri- tual health and growth of not only the par- ish community, but in the lives of each of our parishioners. Our ministries serve as extensions of our shared mission to glorify Christ – whether through teaching, serv- ing, outreach, or spiritual development. Our ministries are meant to assist us in our walk with Christ and by getting involved, we find meaningful ways to use our God-given gifts to build stronger connections with others. Ministries offer meaningful opportunities for personal growth and deeper discipleship. Whether serving to support liturgical ser- vices, our youth programs, our educational missions, or simply bringing comfort to oth- ers in need, our involvement fosters a sense of purpose and belonging. It also encourages our personal accountability and spiritual maturity as we give of ourselves and move towards our calling to proclaim the gospel of Christ. Most importantly, our ministries strength- en the unity of the Church. When members contribute their time and talents, the entire body of Christ thrives. Each person plays an important part, as described in 1 Corinthians, 12:12. “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body being many, are one body, so also is Christ.” Please plan to visit our Parish Ministry Fair on Sunday, September 7 . It will be held in the hall directly following the celebration of Divine Liturgy. The Stewardship Committee: Ben De La Riva, Jim Gilpin, Bill Navrides, Timmy Paraskevopoulos, Stephen Thiros, Nektarios Tradas, and Spero Tzathas STEWARDSHIP CORNER DANCE & CHORAL September 7th will mark the official begin- ning of our 2025-2026 Greek Dance and Choral School year, and we have so much to be excited for this year! First, we are happy to report that we will continue to offer class- es for dancers from ages 4 to 18 along with a Young Adult (College and up) group and two new Beginning Adult classes. New this year, we will offer an Adult Cardio Greek Dance class for fun and fitness! We are very excited to welcome back our own Dimitri Litsas fresh from his FDF scholarship trip to Greece where he was one of only six chosen participants to spend a week at an immersive Greek Dance Symposium. We are equally excited to start practicing in our newly re- modeled Youth Room, which not only looks beautiful, but offers a more functional space for our dancers, including three new chang- ing rooms. This year we will offer a $25 ear- ly bird discount for each tuition paid before October 1st . Come and see us in the church hall during the Parish Ministry Fair on Sep- tember 7th or reach out to us at stspyridon- dance@gmail.com REGISTRATION LINK: https://forms.gle/n3dco1YLc5msbfwn6 TUITION LINK: https://tuition-dance-and-choral-school. square.site/ Your greetings help make the publishing of this newsletter possible.
