Over 40 young- at-heart individuals gathered in the church hall on Tuesday, November 8th to enjoy an a ernoon of food, fun, and festivity, even in the rain! We gather each month on the sec- ond Tuesday of the month at 11 a.m. Please plan to join us on December 13th as we gather to celebrate the Christmas season. You are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy as we are collecting new toys for Toys for Tots . e December luncheon is compli- mentary and will be hosted by our Senior organization. Our amazing November ham lun- cheon was provided and prepared by George and Gus Demos to hon- or their Yiayia and Papou Angela & Gus Wallace and George & Argyro Demos . ank you George and Gus for your generosity. Seniors need to stay active, laugh and enjoy each other’s company and this is the perfect venue for that pre- scription. SENIORS As the year winds to a close, everything in nature quiets down: the days shorten, the sunbeams strikingly slant, and the chill calls us inside. e wisdom of the Church gi s to us the Nativity Fast, and we enter the blessed Nativity sea- son. During this holiday season we have entered a rich time in our lives as Orthodox Christians. Advent brings to us a reminder of “spiritual renewal”, a time to grow in our Ortho- dox faith and to share it with others. Why not share a book to gi this Christmas season? Please think of the bookstore for your Christmas giving gi s. We have a wonderful selection of Christmas books for chil- dren of all ages. Come in and browse our Christmas book display table inside the bookstore. Additionally we will be selling an assortment of beautiful Orthodox ornaments from the Ukraine, along with cross ornaments, and Nativity icon ornaments for your Christmas tree. ere are a lovely selec- tion of wooden icon boxes, featuring a classic Nativity scene perfect for holding keepsakes, jewelry, or for gi -giving.
