Komen Race For e Cure , supporting the sole mission to end breast cancer forever. We helped raise over $1000 toward research to discover more e ective treatments, as well as vital patient support connecting people to breast cancer screenings, diagnostics, treat- ment assistance and so much more. We were proud to walk for those we have lost, those who are battling, and those who have WON! e Anthousa Chapter of Philoptochos of- cially kicked o the Holiday Season by hosting our ANNUAL THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON on Sunday, November 13th, a tradition for over 40 years and one of our favorite parish events. It was heartwarming to see friends and family gather again in the true sense of anksgiving. We have much to be thankful for and are blessed by our St. Spyridon community. e pro- ceeds from our luncheon enable our Anthousa Chapter charitable outreach. It truly takes a village to make this luncheon possible! I want to thank the “heart of the house” Chairper- sons, Julie Karagianides, Christina Marantos, and Vicky Mellos along with all the ladies who helped pre- pare our delicious meal. A special thank you to Michael Platis, An- dreas Capatenakis, George Capet- anakis, Kosta Mellos, Nick Pap- pas, Jim Pappas, and Jim Gilpin . ese men stepped in, did all the heavy li ing, and made our jobs easier. We are forever grateful. And to the ladies who never say “no,” those who decorated, took your reservations, made our rae possible. Our community is bless- ed to have so many generous vol- unteers! A TASTE OF GREEK CHRISTMAS BAKE SALE Sunday, December 18th is is our largest fundraiser of the year. We need help with baking, packaging, and dis- tribution.
